The air conditioner magnetic contactor is a key component for controlling the on-off of the circuit in the air conditioning system, and its performance directly affects the stability and service life of the air conditioning system. Current and voltage level
Matching principle: The rated current of the contactor must be higher than the maximum operating current of the air conditioning compressor or fan (usually 20%-30% margin is reserved), and the rated voltage must be consistent with the power supply system (such as 220V/380V).
Case: If the rated current of the air conditioning compressor is 10A, a contactor with a rated current ≥12.5A should be selected to avoid contact erosion due to overload.
Power factor and load type
The inrush current of inductive loads (such as motors) is large when starting, and contactors with arc extinguishing covers or special contact materials (such as silver alloy contacts) need to be selected.
Contact material comparison
Silver alloy contacts: good conductivity, wear resistance, suitable for frequent start-stop scenarios (such as commercial air conditioners).
Copper contacts: low cost, but poor oxidation resistance, suitable for low load or household air conditioners.
Mechanical life and electrical life
Standard: high-quality contactors have a mechanical life of ≥ 1 million times and an electrical life of ≥ 100,000 times (AC-3 load type).
Verification method: require suppliers to provide third-party test reports (such as UL, CE certification).
Temperature and humidity range
Industrial standard: operating temperature -25℃~+85℃, humidity ≤95% (no condensation).
Special scenarios: outdoor air conditioners must choose IP65 and above protection level to prevent dust and rain from intrusion.
Vibration and impact resistance
The contactor must pass the IEC 60068-2-6 vibration test to ensure that it does not loosen during transportation or operation.
Coil voltage type
AC coil: suitable for grid stability scenarios, low cost but may generate noise.
DC coil: strong anti-interference ability, suitable for PLC or inverter control scenarios.
Auxiliary contact configuration
Select the number of normally open (NO) and normally closed (NC) contacts according to control requirements, such as status feedback or interlock control.
